Draping the sound of late 20's American string bands over the infectious rhythms of the Brazilian zabumba, Savino brews a funky concoction of catchy tunes with an ever-shifting instrumentation. New World Folk-Funk.
“Come on in for some down-home string band sound infused with a little bit of that Afro-Brazilian fire. Banjo totin', bull-fiddle bowin' maverick Mike Savino opens the gates to his personal amusement park complete with stories of whimsy and wonder and a cracked band guaranteed to free your demons. Savinoland!”

Enjoy some highlights from the various projects i've been involved with through the years.
2001
A little spring cleaning unearthed this little heard piece of music. Recorded circa 2001 with my long time conspiritor, Kenny MacKenzie, The Junkyard Concerto was a result of a little Jack Daniels, recently purchased Pro Tools and a desire to compose a piece using every instrument in the house. It's a little rough but there are moments of brilliance. Enjoy
